Tribal decks are the bread and butter decks of the casual players arsenal. Tribal decks are very flavorful, easy to build and most of all lots pf fun to play! The deck I am debuting today is no exception.
The deck below, so aptly named "Big Slivers", is another in the long line of casual sliver decks. Slivers are the wuintessential bad boys of the Magic realms. They gang up on every one and get stronger the more of them are in play. Not only do they get stronger, they also grant one another their abilities.
Once the well oiled sliver machine gets rolling it is very hard to stop. Slivers do everything well, and they everything even better as their nunbers swell. While this deck may not be the of the same lightning fast speed of sliver decks of old, it is quite resilient and when all of the pieces are in play, it is insanely hard to prevent being run over. All of this without an overrun!
These insectoid-esque beasts, reminiscent of the "prawns" in District Nine, first entered the world of magic in Stronghold, Tempest and then made a brief comeback in Onslaught Block (Legions and Scourge). When the Time Spiral block rolled around they once again reared their collective ugly heads. While not as insanely fast or overpowered like their predecessors, these new slivers brought a whole bunch of new abilities to the table.
This decks was built to experiment with these new slivers while stomping on my opponent's collective faces. After all this is what Slivers do best!.
This is in essence a five color green deck, with green being used to produce the different colors of mana, as well as providing some much needed card draw.

| 2 | Virulent Sliver | A 1/1 sliver for 1 which grants all other slivers Poisonous 1. Whenever an opponent has 10 or more poison counters they lose the game. Just another way for the sliver army to defeat their enemies. |
| 2 | Harmonic Sliver | A 1/1 for 1GW that says all sliver have that when this creature enters the battlefield, destroy target artifact or enchantment. |
| 4 | Bonesplitter Sliver | A 2/2 sliver for 3R. All slivers get +2/+0. Simple. Effective. Sweet! |

Kills 'em and gets bigger in the process ... as if the world needed bigger slivers. |
| 4 | Rites of Flourishing | Mana acceleration and card draw all in one neat package. Each player draws an extra card and may play an additonal land during each of their turns. I feel the need for speed ... er ... slivers. |
| 2 | Prismatic Omen | 1G is all you require to, with the help of this Shadowmoor gem, turn all of your lands into every basic land type in addition to their other types. Five color ooh-rah. |

| 5 | Mountain | |
| 2 | Island | |
| 1 | Plains | |
NB: On principal, and everything that is good and sacred in this world, I REFUSE to play with Crystaline Sliver. I also refuse to put in a link for that card. I despise it nearly as much as Daring Leap ... but that is another story!
